SACS Equal Remuneration Order - Pay Increase 1 December 2013

The next instalment of the pay increases awarded to employees pursuant to the Equal Remuneration Decision under the Social Community Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award is due on the pay period commencing from 1 December 2013. The increase depends upon the classification of each employee, but is in the range of 3-4% on the adjustment that was made 1 July 2013.
The Fair Work Ombudsman has updated its Equal Remuneration Calculator to show the actual wages payable inclusive of the modern award transitional wage and equal remuneration order instalment.
Once again I have tested the formula applied to calculate the minimum wages for accuracy. I am satisfied that the results are valid and consistent with the results that I obtain using spreadsheet formula that we have created at Employee Relations Online for social welfare providers in NSW, VIC and TAS. The wages shown on the FWO calculator may vary slightly due to uncertainty in the estimated pre-modern wages and classification translations that are applied in the formulae and there are some gaps in data for 2013. Nevertheless, the FWO Equal Remuneration Calculator is a very useful tool and should save you time in payroll.
