Annual Wage Review Decision 2018

The Fair Work Commission Annual Wage Review Panel announced today the decision to increase the National Minimum Wages and all Modern Award wages by 3.5 per cent commencing 1 July 2018. In addition to the across the board increases to all award wages, the decision delivered today means:
National Minium Wage of $719.20 per week or $18.93 per hour (an increase of $24.30 to the weekly rate and 63 cents for the hourly rate)
Two equivalent Special NMW orders for award/agreement free employees with a disability
Junior wages for award/agreement free employees increase by 3.5% as per the Miscellaneous Award 2010
Apprentice and National Training Wage employees increase by 3.5% as per the Miscellaneous Award 2010
Casual loading remains at 25%
Award allowances adjusted in accordance with the formula contained in each award
All of the above increases may be absorbed within over-award and higher salaries currently paid to employees.
